With the arrival of the first Walmart Black Friday ads last week, we knew that the next store wouldn’t be far behind and as expected, Macy’s has announced their Black Friday plans for 2021. Much like last year, their sale will not be one-day-only but will instead run for five days, with pre-Black Friday deals starting on 11/3.
A holiday shopping staple for decades, Macy’s has released their plans for this year’s holiday and Black Friday sales. While there is no ad scan available yet, they do have a dedicated Black Friday page that highlights the deals shoppers can look forward to.

Like last year, Macy’s will be closed on Thursday, November 25 in observance of Thanksgiving Day. Their Black Friday sale will run from Tuesday, November 23 through Sunday, November 27, with online shopping available on Thanksgiving. If you’re hoping to shop in-store on Black Friday, your local Macy’s is slated to open at 6 AM on Black Friday, November 26.
Macy’s Black Friday Early Access
Hoping to shop early this year? Macy’s will be running their Black Friday Early Access specials beginning on 11/3. Each week a new set of Black Friday deals will be available early to Macy’s shoppers. The Early Access deal schedule is as follows:
- November 3-7: First look
- November 8-10: New deals added
- November 11-15: Check back for even more deals
- November 16-22: Deals keep dropping
- November 23-37: Shop all specials online and in-store
