Black Friday week is here! Last week we were scanning the ads and we’ve been posting deals non-stop so far this week. We’ve noticed a few expected changes this year in the pricing of deals as well as what kinds of deals are offered. How do you really know if the Black Friday price is truly the best deal? Keep reading!
Brad’s Deals editors are posting deals 24/7, 365 days of the year. Some of them can rattle off the price history of an item dating all the way back to 2011! So it’s no surprise that they can tell a real Black Friday deal from a dud. This year we’re seeing fewer discounts and higher prices, and we recommend that if you really need an item on your wish-list that you grab it ASAP.
So how can you really know if you’re getting a deal? We’ve listed out some fan-favorite products and the prices we’ve seen throughout this year as well as during last year’s Black Friday sales so you’ll know if the 2021 Black Friday price is actually worth it.
We’ll also provide a price range that we consider a “good deal” so that you know you should jump on it if you do see it within that range this year.
KitchenAid Stand Mixer
Prices to Look For
If you’re looking for a KitchenAid 4.5-Quart Classic, we’d avoid buying anything over $220. Last year we saw it for $200 and in 2019 it was $170. Prices are higher this year as warned, but we still think you should hold out if you don’t see anything closer to a $200 price point.
If the 5-Quart Professional is on your list, the $220 Black Friday price is great. Last year we did see it for $200 during Black Friday sales, so the $20 increase this year with the expected supply chain issues is still a good deal. If you see this between $200 and $220, go ahead and grab it!
Best Black Friday Deal
We think the KitchenAid 5-Quart Professional Stand Mixer is the best Black Friday deal this year and you can currently get one for the $219.99 price at KitchenAid.com, Target and Best Buy.

Apple Watch SE
The Apple Watch SE is featured in a few Black Friday ads this year.
Prices to Look For
The lowest price we’ve seen on the SE this year has been $259 (or $239 for a refurb model) and last year’s Black Friday price was $230. If you can get one at the $220 price or anything up to $245, you’re getting a good deal for the year.

Amazon and Target have the $219.99 price for Black Friday this year.
Big Screen TV
We can’t have a Black Friday list without mentioning at least one Smart TV. This is the time of year that a lot of shoppers look to get a larger TV within their budget. We’ve seen a lot of deals on 65″ TVs this year and
Prices to Look For
This one is trickier since pricing varies drastically depending on the features on your TV. Below I’ll break down two separate price points and what you should look for.
If you’re looking for a budget brand like Toshiba or Insignia, you can snag a 65″ TV with features like 60 Hz native refresh rate and streaming capabilities in the $475 to $525 range.
Name brands like Samsung and LG with features like OLED and 120 Hz native refresh rate vary in price a little more but depending on the brand, size, and features we’re seeing most name brand TVs discounted around $200. If you can find a deal for $200 off or more with a 120Hz refresh rate and fast processor, that’s a deal worth grabbing.
Best Black Friday Deal
We like the TCL 65″ Roku TV in the Target Black Friday sale for $499.99 for a budget brand pick.
For name-brand options, the Samsung 60″ Smart Tizen TV is on sale at Best Buy for $530. We also love the LG 55″ Class C1 Series OLED 4K UHD Smart webOS TV at Best Buy for $1,299.
Instant Pot 8-Quart Multicooker
Prices to Look For
We saw this model for $55 at Amazon back in June of this year during Prime Day. If you can snag it between $50 and $60, you’re getting a price low for the year.
Best Black Friday Deal
Most all retailers are offering the Instant Pot 8-Quart 7-in-1 Multicooker for $60 this Black Friday, but Walmart beats them by about $1 at just $59.

Roomba
Prices to Look For
We’ve seen the iRobot Roomba 677 for around $230 for most of the year. If you can find a deal for around $200 or less, you’re definitely getting a deal this year.
Best Black Friday Deal
Kohl’s has this Roomba model for $161 along with $45 in Kohl’s Cash as part of their Black Friday sale. This is well below the best price we’ve seen this year and worth picking up if you’re in the market for a robot vacuum.

Air Fryer
Prices to Look For
Much like TVs, though on a smaller scale, the price ranges will vary depending on what type of air fryer you want. Below are ranges for budget brands and name brands.
For smaller, budget air fryers, look for something under $40. Bella air fryers are around $20 during Black Friday sales and Best Buy’s Insignia brand is around $40 or less.
For larger, name-brand air fryers like Ninja, the Ninja 2-Basket Air Fryer has been around $136 this year as a price low. If you can get it for $140 or less, consider it a deal.
The Instant Pot Air Fryer was at a price low for $61 during Amazon Prime Day in June and around $80 the rest of the year. Anything around $75 or less is a good price.
Best Black Friday Deal
Two of our favorite deals are the Insignia 5-Quart Air Fryer for $39.99 at Best Buy and the Instant Pot Vortex Plus Air Fryer for $70 at Macy’s.
Upright Vacuum
Prices to Look For
If you’ve got your heart set on a Dyson, the Dyson V8 has been at the $280 price point most of this year. We’ve seen it for $250 in a couple of Black Friday sales, so $250 is ideal, but anything up to $275 would be a price low for the year.
The Shark Navigator is another popular model and we’ve seen that for around $130 for the past few months. Try to find something around the $100 to $120 price point or less to ensure you’re getting a deal.
Best Black Friday Deal
The Dyson V8 is a great value at $249.99 at Target but has unfortunately sold out. The Shark Navigator is currently $119.99 at Target which is the best in-stock price we could find.
Fitbit
Prices to Look For
We’ve seen the Fitbit Versa 2 for $135 for the past few months. Any price you find at $135 or under is a bargain for this Fitbit model.
Best Black Friday Deal
Many of the larger retailers have the Fitbit Versa 2 for $120 as part of their Black Friday sales. Walmart has it for $118.99 which is the lowest out-of-pocket price. But Kohl’s also has it for $119.95 with $30 in Kohl’s Cash making it the better deal.
Apple AirPods
Prices to Look For
We’ve seen the classic AirPods bouncing between $109 and $119 this year. Walmart had them for $89 as an early Black Friday deal but that is no longer available. If you can find these under $119 with the charging case, you’d be getting a good deal for the year!
Best Black Friday Deal
Although the $89 price has ended at Walmart, you can still get a deal on the AirPods for $114.99. Target has them for the same price. Most other sellers are at $120 which matches what we’ve seen this year, but the $115 price is best!
